“The Space Between”

I didn’t plan for this painting to feel sad. I just wanted it to be beautiful. But as it evolved, the eyes demanded honesty. They carry a quiet sadness —the kind that feels heavy, distant, and endless. The lower half fades into a galaxy, a depiction of what grief sometimes feels like: disappearing into something too big to name.
